Arriva Yorkshire has recently introduced 8 brand new buses to the 145-148-149-150 bus route connecting Knottingley, Pontefract, and Wakefield and they wanted to celebrate by creating some 'Magic Moments' in the local area. They appealed to local people to let them know about people in their community who go above and beyond, and those that go that extra mile to help others.
Following a deluge of entries, the two deserved winners were Sharron Hawkins from Streethouse and Steve Greatorex from Pontefract, who were surprised last week.
Nigel Featham, managing director for Arriva Yorkshire, said: "We were absolutely delighted to be able to reward Sharron and Steve with their own 'magic moments' and we really hope that our small gesture goes towards helping them spoil themselves a little this Christmas."
Sharron and Steve both received a luxury Christmas hamper, free bus travel for the month of January, £200 high street vouchers and they will star in their very own bus advert live on buses in January 2013.
